Chitra Sri Krishna

Chitra Srikrishna is a Carnatic vocalist, music educator and performer, deeply rooted in the traditions of South Indian classical music. I photographed a series of portraits of Chitra, along with more candid moments of her while she sang. I wanted to capture both sides- the stillness of a portrait and the energy that naturally comes through when she’s immersed in music.
